Must I set any special permissions?

In Horde configuration under "ActiveSync" 

(/admin/config/config.php?App=horde)

use "SingelFile" ($conf[activesync][logging][type]) and enter the path (eg / var/log/activesync/) The directory must be writable by the web server.
