Thanks, Jan.  After weeks of trying to repair my Horde mail system, I 
finally got it working.

I copied a backup database from my mysql 2004 horde backup and used it.  
Horde came right up and started working as expected.

I'll try to figure out how to get the tables from a fresh install for 
people who are starting totally new and don't have a backup. I'll update 
this thread with that information when I figure it out.
