don't think so. I started with no preference data at all.
Also I would assume a meaningful error message it prefs exceed maxsize.
And that isn't the case.

I increased maxsize by factor 10, but no change.
I already tried 0. Horde fail to store any value in that case with tons of
red boxes on login :-)

Anyway: I know ingo could store to the backend at least in Horde version 5.1.x
