[horde] I might be missing something?

I was moving my main mail over from a custom dovecot/postfix/ldap/roundcube install over to Horde yesterday, and Ive been having trouble figuring out how I can access different things on my Apple products.    So I get this :

*CardDav and CalDav let me access calendars, contact, and tasks on OSX.  Same for iOS.
*IMAP lets me access mail on OSX with IDLE, and with a 15 minute fetch on iOS.

But what about Notes?  I can't seem to figure out how to gain access to them on either iOS or OSX.  I know I could use ActiveSync, but I am trying to save that for last (licensing).  Apple likes to use an IMAP folder for Notes, and on Horde, it appears they are just part of the database.
