After some sort of struggle with my php and lighttpd config (which I
set up some years ago) I found the reason for my "500 Internal Server
Error". It was a module called "opcache" (according to its config it
is the ZendOpcache) which made the server crash like this:

2015-11-06 20:55:51: (mod_fastcgi.c.2562) unexpected end-of-file
(perhaps the fastcgi process died): pid: 2338 socket:
unix:/var/run/lighttpd/php.socket-0
2015-11-06 20:55:51: (mod_fastcgi.c.3346) response not received,
request sent: 1219 on socket: unix:/var/run/lighttpd/php.socket-0 for
/horde/admin/config/config.php?app=horde, closing connection

After deactivating the module everything worked perfectly again.

Thanks Michael for your advice.
