For sure. I will do that after upgrading dovecot to a more recent release.

I think we should fix it also on the horde side (imap library). I  
scanned docevots release notes, and several times they fixed something  
crashing.
IMO imap library should be able recover from this situations as well.

Whether such a situation is detectable for the library is out of my  
sight, but as a first simple approach I think that all required  
settings should be set after connecting to a server?
Is there a situation where horde connects to a server but does NOT  
need to enable QRESYNC, set mailbox etc?

But your are right, also the dovecot server has to be fixed, and as a  
first simple solution I could also delete the problematic mail. But  
doing only the latter is too dirty, isn't it?
