Thanks,

Increasing the allowed memory size does not solve the problem. I
increased it from 128M to 256M. That was not enough. I increased to
384M. With 256M the following error:

2017-07-09T15:47:37+02:00 EMERG: HORDE [kronolith] Allowed memory size
of 268435456 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 72 bytes) [pid 17059 on
line 274 of "/usr/share/php/Horde/Db/Adapter/Base.php"]

with 384M more or less the same error:

2017-07-09T17:12:39+02:00 EMERG: HORDE [kronolith] Allowed memory size
of 402653184 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 72 bytes) [pid 17357 on
line 176 of "/usr/share/php/Horde/Icalendar.php"]

With 512M no errors but also no synchronization. If I download the
calender, the ics-file is +/- 650 kb. So not really a very big calender.
I give up, I will use caldav as protocol.
