There are 3 possible solutions there: a Thunderbird add-on  
(https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/addon/attachmentextractor/), a  
windows IMAP interface (http://www.broobles.com/imapsize/), and a perl  
script (needs server shell access).
