Okay, I've enabled an IMAP debug log and verified it's accumulating
(lots) of information. I will note that the last IMAP error in the
ActiveSync log was from February 14th, with no new IMAP errors since
the ActiveSync device reset I performed yesterday. I did check the
syslog generated by Cyrus IMAPD from that timeframe, and the only
error I could see related to this user is that no SQUAT (indexed
search) files have been generated for this user, but I wouldn't expect
that to cause errors at the IMAP protocol level, as Cyrus will fall
back to a non-indexed SEARCH if no SQUAT index is present.

This is indeed an Outlook client, specifically Outlook 2013.
