This is overly permissive.

I don't know which error you mean, but your message arrived here in a  
slightly broken fashion. The were two dashes before the content  
encoding boundary separator, causing the following IMAP error (Dovecot):

     Invalid quoted-printable input trailer: '=' not followed by two hex digits

Removing these, fixed the problem.
