Hello Ralf and Maillist,

I did manage to install Horde without the "-a" switch and it worked well.
Then I manually installed the desired applications and modules. Almost
everything is working well, except for Imp. I can receive emails without
issues, but I cannot send any. When I press the Send button, I see a red
popup saying:

There was an error sending your message: sendmail system error (71)

Sendmail is installed and configured to use my GMail account to send emails
using their SMTP server. It works perfectly. I can send emails from the
CLI using something like :

echo "$(hostname) test" | mail -s "$(hostname) test Gmail relay"
root at localhost

Strangely, /var/log/maillog is empty...

I noticed that backends.local.php did not contain any parameters for SMTP
authentication, so I added the SMTP block in it, Now
"imp/config/backends.local.php" looks like:

$servers['imap'] = array(
    'disabled' => false,
    'name' => 'GMail IMAP server',
    'hostspec' => 'imap.gmail.com',
    'hordeauth' => true,
    'protocol' => 'imap',
    'port' => 993,
    'secure' => 'ssl'
    'maildomain' => '',
    'smtp' => array(
        'auth' => true,
        'localhost' => 'localhost',
        'host' => 'smtp.gmail.com',
        'password' => '*************************',
        'port' => 587,
        'secure' => 'tls',
        'username' => 'lp.allard.1 at gmail.com'
    ),
    'cache' => false,
);

Please note that I also use IMP as the auth backend for Horde and use
GMail's account to do so.

Do you, or anybody else in the maillist, have an idea of what I missed?

Have a good day!
