oh ok, so the email categories are not a factor for Active Sync at all.
It only knows 

<POOMCONTACTS:Email1Address>
<POOMCONTACTS:Email2Address>
<POOMCONTACTS:Email3Address>

and whether Email1Address is personal or work is up to the client to decide, right ?
