I'm in the middle of getting the answers ready. A lot of this month's 
FOSS work went into the tool chain

- to reduce merge conflicts and noise due to metadata on version release.
- to reduce core team work associated with releases
- generally to facilitate faster turnover of versions

Some things were more complicated than they need to be.
Instructions will follow :)
