Hello,
just some updates on the beta phase
SCOPE:
The beta phase includes the horde mainstream apps

- horde/imp (webmail)
- horde/kronolith (calendar)
- horde/nag (tasks)
- horde/turba (contacts)
- horde/passwd (passwords)
- horde/ingo (mail filters)
- horde/timeobjects (interop)
- horde/content (tagger)
This includes support for mainstream protocols and backends
- imap, activesync, caldav/carddav, smtp, procmail, sieve
- mysql/mariadb, postgresql, sqlite
- ldap
- memcache, redis
Notably not:
- anything kolab
- IMSP
- SyncML
- XMLRPC (jsonrpc is fine though)
All relevant libraries have been released as beta versions or will be
released in the next few days. If you miss any item please get in touch.
TIMELINE:
The beta phase runs through april. Around May 1st we will release RC1 for
apps and intend to release as stable as soon as no further RCs are needed.
EXPECTATIONS:
- The last two apps with smartmobile views based on jquery will be reworked
to use the new "responsive" solution which also drives the new login screen.
- sabberworm will be unbundled and get a major upgrade.
- hordectl tool is currently being upgraded to facilitate installations
- The routes/controller framework needs some additional features to support
special configurations ( responsive/mobile view in apps running as webroot
i.e. https://calendar.foo.org/)
- There is an issue under investigation which makes the website, wiki and
ticket system sometimes choke/block. We may take down some services for a
day or two to properly fix the underlying issue. Use github or mailing list
to report any trouble with the beta.
- In all other areas we avoid breaking changes and concentrate on
stabilisation
