Looking much better--it's successfully interacting with the sieve server
now; I can view and activate scripts and rules.

I did notice a UI workflow issue, though. When interacting with an
individual rule (eg. Forward) the "Save and Enable" button pops up the
green "Rule Enabled" box, but doesn't actually modify or activate the
script, though the preferences related to the rule itself are stored.
Activating a rule from the Filter Rules list works as expected.
Similarly, once a rule is activated it currently can only be deactivated
from the Filter Rules list. No error messages are displayed or logged.
