yes, it supports - in some way (by not erasing them if you do not  
touch them through translation). The plural form is not accessible  
through interface for translation.

I tried to build lastest poedit beta, but it has some compilation  
issues - at least - on my x86_64 slackware.

Ok, fortunately, there are not too much plurals in .po
