I think it is, in that I think it misses a few cases.  I have had to disable
it after only a few days of production use (preceeded by about a month of test
use) when I found problems with email containing null characters.

Somehow, I never saw this in my testing (only three users).  It wasn't common
in production.  But if someone received a message that had nulls in it, it
would hang up when IMP tried to show it.

I've saved a couple of the "broken" messages, and will debug when I find time.

I've seen no problem sending mail, just viewing "null containing" mail...
