[imapproxy] Performance problems.

Hello -

Unfortunately, I have bad news to report regarding the performance of
IMAPProxy.  I had hoped it would improve the e-mail server's
performance.  However, it caused the Load Average on the e-mail
server to sky rocket -- from a normal busy range of 18 - 23 up to
loads that exceed 100.  The e-mail server is a 6 cpu Sun E-3500 using
UW-IMAP.

There is some info below.  The imapproxy itself never experienced a
problem during this time.  It was running on a dual-CPU RH linux
machine.

Any questions, suggestions, or requests for more info are welcome.
