Thanks for sending this along; personally I'm always interested in
usability suggestions, because personally I'm such a poor UI designer.  
:-)

The hitch is, what if the LDAP search returns multiple results?  If you
just auto-select the first one, some users might not notice that there's a
drop-down box there, and then will be asking, "Hey... that's not the Smith
I wanted."

But perhaps guessing and being right X% of the time (where it's 100% for
just one result) is an improvement, and no worse than the current
behavior.  Thoughts?
