Error with Exim and imp

Hello,

I'm running Linux Debian 2.2  and I would like to have imp use exim 
instead of sendmail. I'm not able to send messages and netscape gives
the following error
The document contained no data.
Try again later, or contact the server's administrator

Now that I'm running exim, /usr/sbin/ sendmail points to it.
It's my understanding that exim accepts the same arguments as sendmail.
Could you please tell me how to make imp work with exim? Thank you!
