I think that's a good idea... you'll be far happier with 2.2.x than with
2.0.10.  Also I was pretty sure that people have reported problems with
PHP 3.0.16 + IMP 2.0.10 (when we ran 2.0.10 we used PHP 3.0.12).

Uh, Horde 1.1?  For IMP 2.2.3 you need Horde 1.2.3 -- they need to match.

Also, the hitch with switching to IMP 2.2 is that you have to get PHPLIB
working, for session support.  That's unfortunately the most complicated
(IMO) part of getting 2.2 to work... but RPMs make it easier.

Short answer:  if you unpacked 3.0.16 to "/path/php-3.0.16" then "cd
/path" and "patch -p0 <patchfile".  Read the man page on patch to see how
the "-p<n>" works; that's a good thing to know in general.
