The graphical folder view was already done -- it was called the 
"navigator", and is now the default folders menu option in 2.3.  Adding it 
to the side is an... interesting idea.  I'm not sure entirely how I like 
it, but if it's optional, it may be useful.

Just to clarify (and not to take anything away from Atif), the only new thing 
is the organization into a 3-pane layout. The hirarchical folders view is 
already in 2.3 (and has been for some time).
