Ascending/Descending Order

Hey Folks,
I checked the mail-list archive but didn't find a conclusive answer to =
this question:

Can one change the order in which the emails appear in the inbox? I want =
to see the most recent email at the top, and of course by default it's =
at the bottom.

If it isn't already possible, does anyone know where to begin, and I'll =
change the code myself (and submit it, of course).
