I cleared some things up last night. My commit message explained it in detail, 
but essentially you need to change config/servers.php to have a maildomain 
field for each server, which replaces the 'to_host' and 'from_host' fields 
(servers.php.dist has been updated to explain the state of things as they 
should be). In addition, the maildomain preference goes away (you can remove it 
from prefs.php), and $conf['server']['to_domain'] and $conf['server']
['namespace'] are both deprecated and can be removed from conf.php.
