Here is the clarification and details -

I type int the URL of the server/horde and get the initial screen.
I then click on the IMP icon at the bottom left.
I get the welcome to IMP screen, with

username/password/server/folders/language

I type in my UNIX system username/password and 
it does not get authenticated.
