How to use Patch?

I am currently using Horde 1.2.3 and IMP 2.2.4 and I just want to upgrade
the horde to 1.2.4 with the patch file I downloaded called
patch-horde-1.2.3-1.2.4 but I'm not sure how to use it. I remember once
seeing a post about it but don't remember the exact syntax, my horde
is located in /home/webmaster/arosnet/webmail

any help would be appreciated.

But now in some cases, reply dosn't work. You know about this ?
