Sending mail not saving to sent mail folder

I am sure I have seen a message posted about sending emails not saving
to a sent-mail folder, but I can't find it anywhere in the archives.

I am using the imp 2.3.7 cvs and can't get it to save to a sent mail
folder the user sends mail.

Is this a known problem, or is there a known solution?
