IMP slow when sending mail

Hi all,

I've installed the following packages on a LinuxPPC box (from tarballs):

- mysql-3.22.32
- php-4.0.3pl1
- imap-2000a (for some headers)
- apache_1.3.14
- horde-1.2.4
- imp-2.2.4
- sendmail-8.11.3

Compilation and installation of all the packages went fine. I got IMP to run
but I still have a big problem.

I can send mails. It works. But it's very slow. When I press "Sent", it
takes few minutes before IMP closes the Compose window and sends the mail.

I have been looking for days now in the sources, the FAQ's and the
mailing-list for a solution to my problem but I still don't see it.

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you in advance,
