Probably because this is a problem with wvWare, not IMP.  :)

I've had the same trouble with wvWare 0.6.4.  Version 0.6.2 worked
correctly for me, so I'll probably go back to that if they don't release
an updated version soon.  The only problem I had with the older version
was runaway processes which I would periodically have to kill.  I hoped
the new version would fix that, but it seems there are larger problems.
