Not sure what are you talking about. I have RH7, tried both 2.2 and 2.4
kernels and used php 4.0.4pl1 and 4.0.5-cvs as well. works fine.

A while back there was a problem with Horde/IMP on RedHat 7 systems needing
an older version of PHP than that which RedHat had updated to.  I'm just
wondering if anyone can tell me whether this problem was ever worked
through.  With the release of RedHat 7.1 I want to know ahead of time if
things are going to break because of the newer version of PHP when I upgrade
my server to 7.1
