More on menu.txt issue

I thought I'd included that I'm using php4, but didn't, so for the record,
I'm using php 4.0.4p11.

Also, I guess if no one can help me do it the way I want, I suppose I could
cheat and do another messy, kludgy method.  I could create seperate files
for each language, called menu.txt.<locale-name> and modify menu.php3 to
include it as "menu.txt.$language" or something like that.  I still don't
like that much more than modifying the menu.php3 out-right, but it is
another thing to consider at least.
