login failure

Hello,

after reading the FAQ and looking trough the archives of this mailing-list,
im still not able to connect to my IMAP server with IMP.

IMAP (courier) and IMP are on the same machine. I use Horde 1.2.4, IMP
2.2.4, PHP4 and MySQL 3.22.32. When telnetting to port 143 i can login to
imapd. In horde/test.php3 everything looks fine.

I keep getting the following error-messages:
IMP says:
Either you have logged in  incorrectly or your login has expired.
Please login again.

/var/log/messages:
May 27 15:14:19 mx imapd: Connection, ip=[::ffff:192.168.19.241]
May 27 15:14:34 mx IMP[23847]: FAILED x.x.x.x to mx.mydomain.com:143 as
username
May 27 15:14:19 mx imapd: LOGOUT, ip=[::ffff:192.168.19.241]

/usr/local/apache/logs/error_log:
Warning: Login failed. (errflg=1) in
/usr/local/apache/htdocs/horde/lib/horde.lib on line 0.
Warning: Too many login failures (errflg=2) in
/usr/local/apache/htdocs/horde/lib/horde.lib on line 0.

Any ideas? After having double and triple-checked everything im really
frustrated...
