I guess I got a problem then.

Fatal error: Class db_error: Cannot inherit from undefined class pear_error
in /usr/local/lib/php/DB.php on line 511

How do I correctly install this pear PHP extension then ?  I couldn't find
it in the docs...

PS - if I'm not just being stupid and it's missing - I could perhaps
voluteer to tackle to documentation for people ?

That way I won't feel as though I'm using the real good guys like you :)

Brent, could you give me a quick run down ? - I looked on php.net's web site
and it said it was in development...

Ah... the PEAR-specific checks I was looking for are in a more recent
test.php from Horde CVS (they appear at the bottom in a PEAR section);
it may be useful to get that version.
