Sending mail

here is my configuration
apache 1.3.20
php 4.0.5
horde 1.2.5
imp 2.2.5
imap 2000-3

I've got a problem, imp says "an error occured while 
sending mail"...
Everything works fine, except this : i can receive mail, 
attach file, edit my address book,...
but i can't send a mail.
Sendmail works on my machine.
I tried to send mail via imap and pop3.
I tried to send mail via outlook express or netscape 
messenger... it works!
Can someone help me with that
