bug? wordwrap in text attachment

Hi,

I recently sent a message with imp with a text attachment. Since the attachment 
wasn't actually a text but a big data file in text format, it had very long 
lines.
But imp seems to wrap these lines at column 4096. Is this a bug or limitation? 
I didn't find a reference in the code that could cause this, e.g. that imp 
reads attached files in 4K chunks.
