"Multiple accounts", I think you mean?

While I could see multiple-account access being a Handy Thing, I'd say
that this would be a huge headache. What does it mean to move a
message to the inbox? IMAP doesn't disallow a client accessing
multiple accounts, so I don't see where a kludge like that would be
necessary (compared to letting the user see

   {mail.foo.com}INBOX
   {mail.foo.com}Mail/folder
   {mail.bar.com}INBOX
   {mail.bar.com}Mail.folder

and switch/move between them as they please.)

This is independent of the number of IMAP accounts you know how to
access, though -- I get mail to a dozen accounts all in one IMAP
account, and would still like that feature. "Personalities", I think
some MUAs call it.

But there's really no reason to overcomplicate "access to multiple
IMAP accounts". The tricky part there will be authentication, not
presentation.

I completely agree.

We already have the feature of "identities" (naming borrowed from outlook). And
of course we will switch automatically to the corresponding indentity when
replying to a message. This is just not yet implemented.
