Authentication Problem

I notice that some of my users have a problem logging into the WebMail
with version 2.3.7. The log shows this:

Jul 12 12:08:16 IMP [notice] 207.173.16.36 login success for jgitt
{wasatch.com:110}
Jul 12 12:08:17 IMP [info] FAILED LOGIN 207.173.16.36 to
wasatch.com:110[pop3] as jgitt

So it seems like it originally takes the login but then immediately thinks
that it failed
for some reason. Any ideas why this would happen?
