I just went through this whole thing (check the archives from last weekend for
wvHtml).  Turns out the problem was entirely on my webserver.  After compiling
new versions of Apache, PHP (4.0.6), re-installing the cvs PEAR files, etc.etc.
it started working.  My suggestion would be to check all your versions and make
sure they're correct.
