Question about "Request a Return Receipt"

Hi,

When I click the box of "Request a Return Receipt" and sent a test message 
to myself, I read it at IMP but it seems no any return message to the 
sender (that is my account). However, if I read the mail in Outlook 
Express, a popup window will ask me whether to sent a return message to the 
sender. Then I will received a return "Read: test" message in my account.

Does anyone told me if IMP can do it? If yes, what wrong in my IMP setting.
