[imp] Error Deleting Message in IMP 2.3.7-cvs

Okay...I have very little experience using bugzilla. Should I just enter
comments in the comment field and click Commit? Do I need to register or
worry about anything else? I don't want to clutter your bug database with
my bumblings.

FYI, I've moved this into the bugs database (bug #750, I think), partially
to
consilidate reports on 2.3, and partially to clean up my mailbox a bit. ;)
Please use that for any followups.

It'll ask you to register; once you've done that, yup, just add comments and
commit.

Subject: feature idea - auto fill/expand addresses

Hello,
I don't know if this is possible or not but would be kinda neat as an option.
If a user has an addressbook selected in their preferences, they type in a name
like Joe and hit 'Expand Names' to have it query the addressbook for possible
matches. Is it possible to have it do that automatically after the focus is
taken off of the "To" field, like if you type "Joe" then tab to the next field,
it will automagically query the addressbook and return possible matches.
Therefore foregoing the need to hit 'Expand Names'.

Any ideas?
Thank you,

... and surprising the user in the middle of typing something else? You'd have
to do it in another (hidden) frame, which is already messy and takes a lot of
javascript, and then what do you do if there are multiple matches?

I do plan on running expand names automatically when you click Send, though,
when I get around to it.

Oh, you're not intruding. I actually haven't heard boo from anyone so far... I've left that problem on the shelf for a couple of days but it still has to get solved. I was thinking that I would have to get somebody to send me a copy of their php.ini and their php.ini.dist. If I had that I could figure out the differences with my ini file and maybe get it working.

Anyone out there want to email me php.ini.dist ??

ok, cool. I have no clue about how to do it on the backend just thought it

How can I specify this on a global level?
I know they can go into their prefs and set it.

I would also dig the archives but is marc down or is it just me ?

Will this still work if eventually I have the option for a public addressbook
and their own personal addressbook ? I will want everyone to search the global
by default and their own personal as well? I am probably getting ahead of the
game but gives ideas at least.

Yup, you can specify that as well...

ok, i am kinda at a loss as to what format that should be in.
this does not work:
$prefGroups['addressbooks'] = array(
    'column' => _("Other Options"),
    'label' => _("Addressbooks"),
    'desc' => _("Select addressbook sources for adding and searching for
addresses."),
    'members' => array('birddog-abook')
);

any clues for me here?
thanks again.

That's not the preference; that's the gui meta-information. These are what you
want to modify:

// addressbook(s) to use when expanding addresses
$_prefs['search_sources'] = array(
    'value' => '',
    'locked' => false,
    'shared' => false,
    'type' => 'implicit'
);

// addressbook to use for adding adresseses
$_prefs['add_source'] = array(
    'value' => '',
    'locked' => false,
    'shared' => false,
    'type' => 'implicit'
);
