[imp] login problem

I think we mixed some things up.
Just to be clear: You have an imap server running and working somewhere and you 
can access this server with any imap client, right?

The log from your apache on the machine imp runs on still shows there is 
something broken with your php imap extension. You should contact the php 
mailing list to ask how to build php with imap support and why it doesn't work 
in your case.
