[imp] IMP can't understand imap/ssl

It should still have SYSLOG support compiled in. You should have compiled
with gcc, not Sun Workshop compiler. It could cause some errors. The file
that SHOULD capture the info is in /var/log/syslog I believe on Sol8. If
not, check /var/log/daemon and /var/adm/messages. Doing a tail on all 3
should find the result.
Do make sure you can connect to port 143 and 993 on that machine. Just
telnet to the port to test if they are listening. If it says 'connection
refused', then you need to make sure you have inetd set up correctly and you
haven't implemented TCP_WRAPPERS.
