To: with quotes causes errors

[Cal M.]

When replying to an email with an address like

"C.M." <calinsea@mysaddress.com> in the "To:" field
results in 2 email messages being sent. An attempt is
made to send an email to C.M.@localhost and another is
correctly sent to calinsea@myaddress.com. If I remove
the quotes before sending the message only one email
message is sent, as expected.

Why the problem with Quotes?
