[imp] Slowness with big mailboxes

I don't get this problem even with a mailbox >3000 messages in it.
I've timed it opening a mailbox with 3220 messages in it, it took 9 seconds.

For the record, I use IMP to handle pretty much all of my email, and that
includes on my INBOX which routinely grows to 200+ messages, and it's nice
and
zippy...
