[imp] Strange problem

Hi

Thanks for the reply, but no.

As I tried to point out. Many users >20 has had the same problem on many
hosts of different networks. Me as an example I have the problem with
Mozilla, Netscape 4.78 on Solaris. On my portable I have Netscape 6 and
opera. On my home computer (Linux (netscape 4.78) and win2k Iexplorer and
Netscape6). At my parents house Win2k and Iexplorer. They all do it. But
What bugs me most is when people not having anything to do with me, on
hosts I've never even seen experience the same problem. This must have
something to do with the Imp/horde installation and not the browser.

Subject: Re: [imp] OPTIONS menu item missing?

Hi Jeff,

Thanks for the advice. I did what you suggested and was looking into the log:
unfortunately, I can see that no query string/ nothing is coming in the log when
I submit the form to save the options. Yes, I have my safe_mysqld with --log as
mentioned in the manual. FYI, I am also running IMP 2.2.6 in the same machine
but in a different apache instance. From IMP 2.2.6 the queries are coming nicely
in the log, but not from the CVS version of IMP. Also, I have mysql 3.22.32
installed, not the latest verison. Will that make any differennce.

Regards,

Zia

You rather want to use imp not imap for authentication.
You find this setting on the first lines in registry.php.

So, enabling these lines is all that it takes?

$this->registry['auth']['login'] = 'imp';
$this->registry['auth']['logout'] = 'imp';

Yes. This way imp does all the authentication stuff for horde. That means you
don't have to login into other horde apps or implement another authentication
scheme for horde.
This does not yet work for apps (gollem) that have a backend with another need
for authentication.
