I had this same problem after upgrade to IMP 2.2.6, so I came back 
to previous release and now it is ok. But I still don't know what was 
the reason.

You never mentioned what database you are using? MySQL, Postgres or ORacle?

I had the same problem just now and I fixed by just upgrading my MySQL version
and recomipliing it in the PHP module for apache.
