lots of IMP, but one database

Sorry to ask twice, but I would like to know if it's posible to have serveral 
IMPs 2.2.x running but using the same database?
Is it posible, or will I have to create a database for each IMP server I 
install?
Remember that I'm with 2.2.x, not the 2.3-cvs.
