Help with Mysql Setup for IMP

Hi, i am trying to install IMP with Mysql...

hi have setup the files local.in mysql.inc..  defaults.php3, etc..

when i write in this files host: localhost   user: hordemgr  password: ****
show thios message:

Warning: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket
'/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock' (13) in /var/www/phplib/db_mysql.inc on line 73

And whe i change the data for:  host: myhostname  user: hordemgr password:
**** show:

Warning: Access denied for user: 'hordemgr@myhostname' (Using password: YES)
in /var/www/phplib/db_mysql.inc on line 73

i have Mysql Daemon runnig... and i can login in the horde database with the
user: hordemgr passwd: ***
using:  mysql -u hordemgr -p horde...

I am now going to try to create a HordeSession class. If this line is the
last thing that you see, then you do not have class HordeSession defined in
the phplib local.inc file. Fix that before proceeding.
Created a HordeSession instance successfully.
