generating mysql.so

Hello,

i am working in the instalation of hord 1.2.6 and IMP 2.2.6 with mysql and
php.

I need to write in php.ini

extension=mysql.so  for MySQL support

I compile the php with

./configure --with-mysql --with-apache=../apache_1.3.20 --with-imap --with
shmop

But this didn't genereta the file mysql.so, how can I generate it?.
