Brent J. Nordquist wanted us to know:

>> php-imap-4.0.6-3
>> php-4.0.6-3.2
>I haven't used Mandrake, but the fact that php and php-imap have different
>releases (-3.2 and -3) looks suspicious to me.

Agreed. Mandrake rpms have -#mdk in the package name:
[todd@trench todd]$ rpm -qa | grep php
mod_php-4.0.6-5mdk
php-ldap-4.0.6-3mdk
php-gd-4.0.6-2mdk
php-mysql-4.0.6-3mdk
php-readline-4.0.6-2mdk
php-imap-4.0.6-2mdk
php-common-4.0.6-5mdk
php-4.0.6-5mdk
php-pgsql-4.0.6-3mdk

This is from a stock install of Mandrake 8.1. It looks like you somehow
or another got RedHat rpms to install on a Mandrake system. Quite an
achievement actually.
